This year, appointments for adults (18+) will be available from October
The flu season normally reaches its height in December or January.
Having the vaccine in October gives you the best protection during these months.
Eligibility
The following groups are eligible for the seasonal flu vaccine for the 2024-2025 season:
- Children aged 2 and 3 years on 31 August 2024
- School-aged children (Reception to Year 11)
- Individuals aged 6 months to under 65 years in clinical risk groups
- Pregnant women
- Adults aged 65 years and over
- Residents in long-stay residential care homes
- Carers and those in receipt of carer’s allowance
- Household contacts of immunocompromised individuals
- Frontline health and social care staff
Timings
- From 1 September 2024: Vaccinations for pregnant women and all children’s flu cohorts will commence.
- From 3 October 2024: The main flu vaccination campaign for all other eligible adults will begin.

COVID-19 Vaccination – Autumn 2025
Eligibility
You may be eligible for an Autumn 2025 COVID-19 vaccination if you are:

Aged 75 or over

Living in a Care Home for Older People
-
Immunosuppressed (as defined in national guidance)
These groups are prioritised because they are at higher risk of serious illness from COVID-19.
